Trust God To Save You!!

Posted on: 2 Comments

Mark 1-17-18

God Will Save You If You Simply Let Him!!

You are not able, of yourself, to bring your purposes and desires and inclinations into submission to the will of God; but if you are “willing to be made willing,” God will accomplish the work for you, even “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5. Then you will “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12, 13 MB 142

And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. John 17:3

No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends. John 15:15

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. John 6:37-40,47

Seek the Lord while you can find him.
Call on him now while he is near.
Let the wicked change their ways
and banish the very thought of doing wrong.
Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them.
Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously Isaiah 55:6-7 NLT

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
    forever Psalms 23:6 NLT

Treasures From The Vine—Our Work Is Trusting God To Save Us

Religion is meant to be in everyday life a thing of unspeakable joy.

And why do so many complain that it is not so?  Because they do not

believe that there is no joy like the joy of abiding in Christ and in His love,

and being branches through whom He can pour out His love on a dying world.

-Andrew Murray, The True Vine

And my father is the husbandman. – John 15:1

My Father is the husbandman. – That is as blessedly true for us as for Christ.  Christ is about to teach His disciples about their being branches.  Before He ever uses the word, or speaks at all of abiding in Him or bearing fruit, He turns their eyes heavenward to the Father watching over them and working all in them.

At the very root of all Christian life lies the thought that God is to do all, that our one work is to leave ourselves in His hands, in the confession of utter helplessness and dependence, in the assured confidence that He gives us all we need.  The great lack of the Christian life is that, even where we trust Christ, we leave God out of the count.  Christ came to bring us to God.  Christ lived the life of a man exactly as we have to live it.  Christ the Vine points to God the Husbandman.  As He trusted God, let us trust God, that everything we ought to be and have, as those who belong to the Vine, will be given to us from above.

Isaiah said:  “A vineyard of red wine.  I the Lord do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.”  Before we begin to think of fruit or branches, let us have our heart filled with the faith that as glorious as the Vine is the Husbandman.   As high and holy as is our calling, so mighty and loving is the God who will work it all.  As surely as the Husbandman made the Vine what it was to be, will He make each branch what it is to be.  Our Father is our Husbandman, the surety for our growth and fruit.

God Is Never Wrong—A Wonderful Short Story

We have the “assurance” of salvation when we “trust” Jesus with our lives, that’s it.  Once we trust Jesus, He, our great Heavenly Physician, will perfectly heal and restore us, thus our assurance is in Jesus, not in ourselves or our future. Salvation is Now!!                                                                                                                             1  John 5:11-13,   1 John 3:2,   John 17:3

A king who  did not believe in the goodness of God, had a slave who, in all
circumstances, said: “My king, do not be discouraged, because  everything
God does is perfect, no mistakes!”

One day  they went hunting and along the way a wild animal attacked the
king.  His slave managed to kill the animal, but could not prevent his
majesty losing a finger.  Furious  and without showing his gratitude for
being saved, the nobleman said  “Is God good? If He was good, I would not
have been attacked and  lost my finger.”The slave  replied:  “My  king,
despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is  good, and he
knows “why” of all these things. What God does is  perfect. He is never
wrong!”

Outraged  by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his  slave.Later,
he  left for  another hunt and was captured by savages who made human
sacrifices.  In the  altar, ready to sacrifice the nobleman, the savages
found that the victim had not one of his fingers, so he was released.
According to  them, it was not so complete to be offered to the gods.

Upon his  return to the palace, he authorized the release of his slave that
he  received very affectionately.”My dear,  God was really good to me! I was
almost killed by the wild men, but  for lack of a single finger, I was let
go! But I have a question: if God is so good, why did He allow me to put you
in jail?”

“My King,  if I had gone with you in this hunt, I would have been sacrificed
for you, because I have no missing finger, therefore, remember everything
God does is perfect. He is never wrong.”

Often we  complain about life, and negative things that happen to us,
forgetting that nothing is random and that everything  has a  purpose.
Every  morning, offer your day to God ……. don’t be in a  rush.  Ask God
to  inspire your thoughts, guide your actions, and ease your feelings.  And
do not be afraid. God is never wrong!

You know  why this message is for you? I do not know, but God knows, because
He never makes mistakes …….The path  of God and his word is perfect,
without impurities. He is the way of  all those who trust in Him, as He says
in 2  Samuel 22:31.

What you  do with this message is up to you. May God put in your heart the desire to follow Jesus completely!

God is  never wrong!!    Psalms 94:18

God’s Sanctuary

God’s Sanctuary
by Max Lucado

The purpose of the church is to provide bread and swords!  To the spiritually hungry, the church offers bread–spiritual nourishment.  To the fugitive, the church offers swords–weapons of truth:

Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

Food and equipment.  The church exists to provide both.  Does it always succeed? No, not always. People-helping is never a tidy trade, because people who need help don’t lead tidy lives. Jesus calls the church to lean in the direction of compassion.

At the end of the day, the question is not how many laws were broken but rather, how many desperate were nourished and equipped?  God’s sanctuary—where He gives food to the hungry and tools to the soldiers.  May your church provide both for you.  And may you be a part of a church that does the same for others.

The Names of God

In the three years as I came to know my wife, Denalyn, our relationship evolved. And with each change came a new name.  She went from acquaintance to friend to eye-popping beauty to date to fiancée and wife. Now she is confidante, mother of my children, life-long partner.  The more I know her the more names I give her.

And the more God’s people came to know him, the more names they gave him.  Elohim, strong one or creator.  Jehovah-raah, a caring shepherd. Jehovah-jireh, the Lord who provides. These are just a few of the names of God which describe his character.  Study them, for in a given day, you may need each one of them.

God, the shepherd who leads, the Lord who provides, the voice who brings peace in the storm, the physician who heals the sick, the banner that guides. And most of all… He Is!

The Big Sur

Behold the sun!  Every square yard of it is constantly emitting 130,000 horse power, the equivalent of 450 eight-cylinder car engines.  Consider the earth! Our globe’s weight is estimated at six sextillion tons—that’s a six with 21 zeros!  Yet it’s precisely tilted at twenty-three degrees or our seasons would be lost in a melted polar flood.

If God is able to place the stars in their sockets and suspend the sky like a curtain—do you think it remotely possible God is able to guide your life? Could it be He is mighty enough to light your path? Jesus said, “Look at the birds in the air.  They don’t plant or harvest or store into barns, but your heavenly Father feeds them.  Why do you worry about clothes?”  (Matthew 6:26).

Next time a sunrise steals your breath, say nothing and listen as heaven whispers, “Do you like it?  I did it just for you!”

The Truth About Our Heavenly Father! A Powerful Message From Graham Maxwell-2b

Speaking Well of God

I believe that the most important of all Christian beliefs is the one that brings joy and assurance to God’s friends everywhere — the truth about our Heavenly Father that was confirmed at such cost by the life and death of His Son.

God is not the kind of person His enemies have made Him out to be — arbitrary, unforgiving and severe. Jesus said, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” God is just as loving and trustworthy as His Son, just as willing to forgive and heal. Though infinite in majesty and power, our Creator is an equally gracious Person who values nothing higher than the freedom, dignity, and individuality of His intelligent creatures — that their love, their faith, their willingness to listen and obey may be freely given. He even prefers to regard us not as servants but as friends.

This is the truth revealed through all the books of Scripture. This is the everlasting Good News that wins the trust and admiration of God’s loyal children throughout the universe.

Like Abraham and Moses — the ones God spoke of as His trusted friends — God’s friends today want to speak well and truly of our Heavenly Father. We covet as the highest of all commendations the words of God about Job: “He has said of Me what is right.” Job 42:7,8

Jeremiah 31:3, John 17:23-24,26

Speaking Well of God

A. Graham Maxwell, born July 18, 1921 and passed to his rest November 28, 2010. Graham, as he liked to be called, was a husband, father, consummate gentleman, Bible scholar, expert in Biblical languages who wrote the SDA commentary on Romans and beloved teacher. He spent the majority of his life sharing  the truth about God, that God is just as Jesus revealed Him to be, with all who would listen. And because of his steadfast loyalty to revealing God’s character of love with such clarity, he came under constant attack from those who didn’t appreciate his view of God. The most common attack was in the form of spreading rumors about his teaching, claiming he taught things contrary to Scripture.

In 1996, after suffering from long standing misrepresentation regarding his beliefs and what he taught, Graham wrote a short paper entitled, “The Scourge of Theological Gossip.” As was typical for Graham he gently exposed the dangers of this insidious practice and directed us back to safe paths.

He Is Able To Do Beyond All That We Ask or Think Ephesians 3:20-21

Exciting Thoughts on Ephesians 3:20

GOD IS ABLE TO PROVIDE HYPER ABUNDANCE FOR YOU!!

 1. He is able to do or work, for He is neither idle, nor inactive, nor dead!

2. He is able to do what we ask, for He hears and answers prayer!

3. He is able to do what we ask or think, for He reads our thoughts, and sometimes we imagine things for which we dare not and therefore do not ask.

4. He is able to do all that we ask or think, for He knows it all and can perform it all!

5. He is able to do more…. Than (hyper, beyond) all that we ask or think, for His expectations are higher than ours.

6. He is able to do much more, or more abundantly, than all that we ask or think, for He does not give His grace by calculated measure.

7. He is able to do very much more, far more abundantly, than all that we ask or think, for He is the only God of super-abundance.. There are no limits to what God can do!!

What a God!!!! Paul is excited about Him!! His soul and heart seem to be bursting with a desire to praise, and to thank, and to glorify, the God who has creative power and has made such things possible for us!!

And our hearts will be also when we begin to grasp the magnitude of God’s everlasting love and what God has done for each one of us!!

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS STEADFAST NEVER-FAILING LOVE!!

Jeremiah 31:3, Psalm 94:18

Not “Our Job” To Point Out The Faults Of Others!

Posted on: 3 Comments

It is not “our job” to point out the faults of others. However, too often, we feel it is ‘our duty” to do so. When God called us to be “fishers of men” He did not say “clean the fish!” Many who make it their job to point out the faults of others-will lose their own souls because they are so blinded by their own “self-righteousness.”

And by the way, The Bible Sabbath is a “Sign” that Jesus is changing us making us more like Jesus! Consider these Bible Verses: Exodus 31:13,17  Ezekiel 20:12,20Hebrews 4:4,10, 1John 3:1,2

Jesus said  “Judge not, that you be not judged.  For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.  And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Matthew 7:1-3

Wow pretty straight talk don’t you think?

And consider this:  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved”. God’s love is always “Other Centered”!! If we allow Him inside us, He will make us just like Jesus!! 1John 3:1,2

I am so thankful Jesus  is focused on saving us rather than condemning us! In fact God does no judging at all but has left that task to His Son, Jesus, who wants to save all of us. John 5:22.

Jesus Alone Saves me- Period! There is nothing I can add to the equation. It’s all Jesus!

But when I think I have to save my self, an interesting set of events takes place.

It goes something like this: The effort to earn salvation by one’s own works inevitable leads men to pile up human exaction’s as a barrier against sin.  For, seeing that they fail to keep the law, they will devise rules and regulations of their own to force themselves to obey.  All this turns the mind away from God to self.  His love dies out of the heart, and with it perishes love for his fellow men.  A system of human invention, with its multitudinous exaction’s, will lead its advocates to judge all who come short of the prescribed human standard.  The atmosphere of selfish and narrow criticism stifles the noble and generous emotions, and causes men to become self-centered judges and petty spies.

“Judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts.”                      1 Corinthians 4:5.  We cannot read the heart.  Ourselves faulty, we are not qualified to sit in judgment upon others.  Finite men can judge only from outward appearance.  To Him alone who knows the secret springs of action, and who deals tenderly and compassionately,  is it given to decide the case of every soul.

“Thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest; for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself, for thou that judgest doest the same things.”  Romans 2:1.  Thus those who condemn or criticize others,  proclaim themselves guilty, for they do the same things.  In condemning others, they are passing sentence upon themselves, and God declares that this sentence is just.  He accepts their own verdict against themselves.

For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.  For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another! Galatians 5:13-15

You are not able, of yourself, to bring your purposes and desires and inclinations into submission to the will of God; but is you are “willing to be made willing,” God will accomplish the work for you, even “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”  2 Corinthians 10:5.   Then you will “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.”  Philippians 2:12, 13.

Praise God that He is the one who is changing us by His Holy Spirit!! 2Corinthians 3:18, 1Thessalonians 5:23,24

So then, First of all, Jesus is our Judge John 5:22. Secondly, Jesus represents us in the Judgment! In other words Jesus is our attorney! 1John 2:1 and Jesus wants to save all of us! Now what kind of a deal is that!!! All I can say is Praise God!! John 3:16-17, 2Peter 3:9.

Eileen Becker Loving Mother and Best Friend—My Fabulous Mother-in Law

Recently Jerry Becker was talking to his mom Eileen. During the course of their conversation Eileen mentioned that she was very tired.  Concerned for his mom, Jerry simply asked: why are you so tired mom? Well she replied, I just baked about 12 angel food cakes. Now Eileen is a wonderful baker and fabulous cook. Folks would do most anything to get a hold of one those angel food cakes—Especially the chocolate! (My favorite) She can make anything taste sooo good!! Back to those 12 angel food cakes. “Mom what are doing with all those angel food cakes Jerry asked?” “Oh I am just making them for the old people! “Eileen responded. It just so happens that Eileen just turned 95. Apparently that’s still young!! Wow what a positive attitude and what a ministry!! We just recently celebrated her birthday. It was an awesome spiritual experience to say the least!

Eileen has always ministered to others and loves people!! She is an absolutely awesome person whom I love very much!  Eileen is my precious mother-in law who treats me as though I was her natural born son!

Eileen penned the poem that follows. It certainly reveals the depth of her relationship with Jesus! She loves Jesus and her family with all of her heart!!

Enjoy!!

GOD’S CARE

I WAS WALKING DOWN THE ROAD OF LIFE

NOT LOOKING EITHER WAY,

NOT GLANCING UP TO SEE THE THINGS

THAT GOD HAD MADE THAT DAY.

I COULDN’T SEE GOD’S FACE,

NOR SEE QUITE CLEARLY AS I WALKED

HOW HE SAVED ME BY HIS GRACE.

I STRUGGLED WITH EACH PASSING DAY

TRYING TO MAKE ENDS MEET,

WHEN LOW, I HEARD A MELLOW VOICE,

“COME SIT HERE AT MY FEET.”

I PAUSED A MOMENT LOOKING ROUND

TO SEE WHO SPOKE TO ME,

WHEN ON MY PATH A PICTURE CAME OF JESUS FACE I SEE.

IT LOOKED AS THO HE REALLY SPOKE

HIS COUNTENANCE QUITE SERENE,

THOSE LOVELING EYES LOOKED DOWN ON ME,

SENDING MESSAGES OF HOPE SUPREME.

I GAZED UPON THAT LOVELY FACE,

AND SAW THROUGH YEARS OF TIME.

HOW HE DIED ON THE CROSS

TO SAVE US FROM SIN,

AND PREPARE A HOME ABOVE, WHICH IS YOURS AND MINE.

I SAT THERE FOR HOURS, IT SEEMED AT LEAST,

ENJOYING THE CLOSENESS OF CHRIST,

ABSORBING HIS STRENGTH AND CALMNESS WITHIN

AND MOST OF ALL HIS GLORY AND GRACE.

I SAW THINGS DIFFERENTLY AS I WALKED ALONG

EACH DAY IS GOD’S GIVEN TIME,

PRAISE GOD! FOR THE WONDERFUL CARE HE GIVES,

AND THE RICHNESS OF GLORY SUBLIME.

BY EILEEN BECKER

How is your relationship with Jesus? Simply trust and Love Jesus with your whole heart.

I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. John 17:23

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.  John 3:16-17

It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Romans 3:26

And always remember that God loves you just like He love His Son Jesus!!

I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. John 17:23

God Loves You Just Like He Loves His Son Jesus!

The one thing above all others that Christ is desirous that we should know is that The Father has loved us even as He loved Him!

Nothing Compares With God

Posted on: 4 Comments

Boston,USA

Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— Revelation 14:6

To what can we compare God?  Who is like the Lord?

What you are to a paper airplane, God is to you.

Make one.  Challenge it to race you around the block.  Who’s faster?

Invite the airplane to a game of one-on-one basketball. Will you not dominate the court? And well you should.

The thing exists only because you formed it and flies only when someone throws it.

God asks Isaiah:  “To whom will you compare me?  Who is my equal?” As if his question needed an answer, he gives one: I am God.  I alone!  I am God, and there is no one else like me.

King David marveled, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence?” (Psalm 139:7)

You and I may have power.  But God is power. No one and nothing compares with Him!
