Salvation Is By Faith Alone In Christ Jesus!!!!! He Alone Will Make Us Ready!!!!!

And said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! Revelation 6:16

Salvation Is Only By Grace Through Faith In Christ Jesus!!

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:1-10

They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.Revelation 22:4.

They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:16-17.

All Things Made New

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:1-5

Jesus Himself Will Work Out Our Salvation Inside Us Through The Holy Spirit!!

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13

Christ Jesus Has Made Me Free

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.Romans 8:1-5.

Jesus Is Our Everything!!

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.1 Corinthians 1:30-31

Christ Crucified

For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:2.

Wonderful Things God has revealed To Us Through His Spirit!!

However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But as it is written:

“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:6-10.

Jesus wants Friendship with Us!!!

It Is The Work Of Jesus Alone To Transform Us and Make Us Like Him!!!

Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech— unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2Corinthians 3:12-18

The Importance of Watching

“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-36.

A Shaking of the Solar System!!

One day very soon, people will see the Son of Man Coming with “power and great glory”. Then there will be a huge cosmic explosion in the solar system like never before! With that cosmic shaking Jesus Will Appear!!

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end Matthew 24:29-31

Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come! Matthew 24:42.

The time of preparation for that awesome event is now, NOT when the cosmic signs are taking place!!!!

It is all about Jesus and a personal intimate relationship with Him!! He wants Friendship and Love. When you can trust Jesus with your entire life, then you are ready to be with Him forever and ever!! And That’s It!!

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3.

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.12:2.

Jesus invites us all to come to Him!! Will you come now?

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17.

We tend to make Salvation very complicated and unattainable with our own ideas and theories. The fact is it’s very simple to be Saved!!
When I can trust Jesus with my life, then I am saved. It’s that simple!!!

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Romans 5:1-2,10-11.

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13.

The fact is Jesus wants to come inside you through the Holy Spirit and live out His victory in you!! Praise God!!

Contemplate these encouraging words:

The Christian life is a battle and a march. But the victory to be gained is not won by human power. The field of conflict is the domain of the heart. The battle which we have to fight–the greatest battle that was ever fought by man–is the surrender of self to the will of God, the yielding of the heart to the sovereignty of love.
We cannot, of ourselves, conquer the evil desires and habits that strive for the mastery. We cannot overcome the mighty foe who holds us in his thrall. God alone can give us the victory. He desires us to have the mastery over ourselves, our own will and ways. But He cannot work in us without our consent and co-operation. The divine Spirit works through the faculties and powers given to man. Our energies are required to co-operate with God. MB 141

You are not able, of yourself, to bring your purposes and desires and inclinations into submission to the will of God; but if you are “willing to be made willing,” God will accomplish the work for you, even “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5. Then you will “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12, 13 MB 142

“He will swallow up death forever,
And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces;
The rebuke of His people
He will take away from all the earth;
For the LORD has spoken.

And it will be said in that day:

“ Behold, this is our God;
We have waited for Him, and He will save us.
This is the LORD;
We have waited for Him;
We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.” Isaiah 25:8-9

The Gospel According to Mary

The glad tidings of Genesis 3:15—namely, that God will give Eve an offspring who will crush the serpent’s head—creates faith. Yet it also initiates a war between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent that will become the story behind all of the stories in the Bible. Upon giving birth to her firstborn son, Eve exclaimed, “Behold, I have brought forth [the] man!” Yet he was not the promised Messiah, but the first antichrist. Already in Genesis 4, the serpent seeks to destroy the seed of the woman who will crush his head, as Cain slays Abel. Yet God replaces Abel with Seth. Each time the baton falls from the hands of one bearer of the promise, God raises up another runner to pass it to the next. This is the ultimate reason why every mother in Israel was so concerned about having children. Who will continue this relay race? God promised a Savior of the world to Abraham and Sarah through Sarah’s womb, yet she was nearly a century old. This royal couple had to believe God’s promise in spite of everything that they saw in their circumstances or experienced in their own life. They were not holier than others; in fact, they both questioned God’s promise even up to the moment when Sarah gave birth to Isaac. Yet they were blessed and in their seed all the families of the earth would be blessed. By the way, when Paul speaks of Adam and Eve in 1 Timothy 2:15 and adds that enigmatic line about women being “saved through childbirth,” I believe that this is what he had in mind. Many evangelical commentators treat this as a more generic ethical encouragement to motherly domesticity, but that seems to me to be another form of salvation by works. Israel’s mothers were not trying to save themselves by their act of childbearing; rather, they were longing to give birth to the long-awaited Messiah.

God’s promise is tied to history—so tied to it, in fact, that the Messiah can only come through a single line. The scarlet cord of redemption was threaded through the smallest eye of the thinnest needle. At key junctures, it seemed as if the serpent had triumphed. There was young Joash, the only royal survivor of the wicked Queen Athaliah’s purge of the House of David. Besides direct assisination, the serpent also attempted to lure Israel into apostasy. Eventually, Israel was sent into exile for having so thoroughly violated the covenant. Yet even in Babylon, mothers of Israel continued to hope in the promise that one day, one of them—or one of their daughters—might be the mother of the Messiah.

And now, the great Caesar Augustus reigns over most of the civilized world, including Palestine, under Quirinius, Governor of Syria. Herod is the puppet-king of the Jews, who fancies himself the messianic heir. Not being a lineal descendent of David, neither his pedigree nor his rebuilding of the Temple impress the Pharisees with his credentials as the messianic heir. From the perspective of the Gospels, particularly in his massacre of Bethlehem’s infants, he is just another antichrist.

It is into this world of competing kings and their kingdoms that we discover an obscure girl in an equally obscure part of the world, who receives the most extraordinary announcement and becomes the first evangelist of the Gospel!!

We have the “assurance” of salvation when we “trust” Jesus with our lives, that’s it.  Once we trust Jesus, He, our great Heavenly Physician, will perfectly heal and restore us, thus our assurance is in Jesus, not in ourselves or our future. Salvation is Now!!  1John 5:11-13,   1 John 3:2,   John 17:3

Theology Alive– A Daily Devotion By Oswald Chambers

“Walk while ye have the light lest darkness come upon you.” John 12:35

Beware of not acting upon what you see in your moments on the mount with God. If you do not obey the light, it will turn into darkness. “If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” The second you waive the question of sanctification or any other thing upon which God gave you light, you begin to get dry rot in your spiritual life. Continually bring the truth out into actuality; work it out in every domain, or the very light you have will prove a curse.

The most difficult person to deal with is the one who has the smug satisfaction of an experience to which he can refer back, but who is not working it out in practical life. If you say you are sanctified, show it. The experience must be so genuine that it is shown in the life. Beware of any belief that makes you self-indulgent; it came from the pit, no matter how beautiful it sounds.

Theology must work itself out in the most practical relationships. “Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees . . .” said Our Lord, i.e., you must be more moral than the most moral being you know. You may know all about the doctrine of sanctification, but are you running it out into the practical issues of your life? Every bit of your life, physical, moral and spiritual, is to be judged by the standard of the Atonement.

How To Live A Victorious Christian Life

How Can It Happen in Your Life?

So, what is the answer to how we can live a consistently victorious Christian life?  The answer is letting Jesus live out His life in us.  This truth is taught throughout the Bible.  In the Old Testament we find references to it.  David understood that victory came through God’s presence with him.

“I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.” Psalm 16:8

“Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalm 16:11

Isaiah understood the necessity of continual connection with God for victory and peace in one’s life.

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3

The New Testament is very clear about the necessity of Christ living in us in order for us to have the victory over temptation and sin.  Jesus used the imagery of the vine and branches to illustrate this truth.

“Abide in me, and I in you.  As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:4-5

Paul taught this truth throughout his writings.

“Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:11

“…we have the mind of Christ.” 1Corinthians 2:16

Christ’s mind was filled with pure, holy, virtuous thoughts.  If we have asked Christ to live in us through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, if we believe He does and if we believe He will manifest His love, His pure, holy, virtuous thoughts in our mind He will do just that.  It is a matter of faith; believing He will truly manifest Himself in our life.  Paul recognized this fact when he wrote:

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

“That he would grant you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;…” Ephesians 3:16-17

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27

The Problem of Previous Definitions

I am sure that these verses are familiar to you.  The difficulty with what I am presenting in this chapter and book is that most Christians know the words and phrases I am using and bring to these their own definition of what they mean.

Usually the personal application of these verses by the Christian is the belief that we must stay connected with God in order to have His power added to our efforts to obey.  We often believe that Christ living in us means that He is there to strengthen us in our efforts to over come the temptations and sins in our life.  That is not what these verses are saying.

Remember, we have previously seen that our efforts are ineffective in overcoming temptation even when we have faith in God adding His power to our efforts.  We have all tried that method and failed again and again.  So, I challenge you to lay aside your definition of what it means to have Christ in you and prayerfully ask “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened” Ephesians 1:17-18.

Until next time,  “That no flesh should glory in His presence.   But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—  that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.” 1Corinthians 1:29-31

And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath. Mark 2:27-28.

4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; 5 and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.” There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. Hebrews 4:4-5,9.

Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them.
hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.’ Ezekiel 20:12,20.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

Our Only Hope Is “In Christ Jesus”-7

Posted on: No Comments

But now “In Christ Jesus” you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13.
The mystery of The Gospel has now been revealed which is: “Christ in you” the Hope of Glory. Colossians 1:27

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together “with Christ” (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places “in Christ Jesus”, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us “in Christ Jesus”. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:4-9. Colossians 3:1-4.

First, at the very core of the Gospel presentation is God’s agape love, unconditional, self-emptying and everlasting. Jeremiah states: “The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying:

“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you”. Jeremiah 31:3.
This agape love is the very heart of The Gospel. Amazingly, God uses His creative power to draw us to His love. Romans 1:16-17, 20. Ephesians 2:1-6, Titus 3:3-5.

Secondly, still at the core of The Gospel, is the means of our salvation which is: “Christ in you” the hope of glory. The concept of “in Christ” is throughout all of Paul’s writings and is mentioned more than 160 times. Paul’s writing make up almost half of the New Testament and this exciting theology of “in Christ” is running through them all. We find the idea is expressed with slightly different wording such as “in Christ Jesus” or “in Him” or “by Him” or “through Him” or “in the Beloved” or “together with Him” “with Jesus” etc.

We have absolutely nothing as Christians except what we have received “in Christ Jesus”. Everything we enjoy, experience, and hope for as believers is ours “only in Christ”. “But of Him” “you are in Christ Jesus”, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD”.1Corinthians 1:30-31.It is all about Jesus and nothing we can do in the area of putting forth effort. I simply trust Jesus for His victory. Our only Hope is “in Christ Jesus” Alone!!

Jesus Himself first introduced the truth “in Christ Jesus”, when He told His followers,” Abide in Me” John 15:4. He further emphasized this truth by stating in verse 5: “Without Me you can do nothing”.

Abiding “in Christ” is the foundation of The Gospel experience. Abiding “in Him” is that persistent remaining right where we are “with Jesus” forever. In other words we choose to remain “with Jesus” trusting “in Him”. Abiding “in Christ” is trusting “in Jesus” with my life— completely. “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You”. Isaiah 26:3. Our victory is attributed to God and God alone and nothing WE HAVE DONE OR WILL EVER DO. Christ is everything to the believer. Our victory is “in Him”. As long as I choose to remain “in Him” He will work out His victory inside me. Romans 8:3-4, 11.

What the New Testament means to be “in Christ”.

I. When Christ died, he died for all of humanity and all of humanity died with Him. Romans 4:23-25, Romans 5:15, 18. Paul uses the symbol of baptism to make his point. Colossians 2:12-13.

II. Likewise when Christ arose from the grave, all of humanity rose with Him. Hebrews 9:24-28. Hebrews 10:11-14. Romans 5:15-21.

III. Abiding “in Jesus”, is to remain on a continuous basis with Him. Because I remain “with Jesus” always, the Holy Spirit will then work out His victory inside me. Praise God!! John 15:4-11, Romans 8:3-4, 9-11. 2 Timothy 1:13-14, Colossians 1:26-27. “Christ in You” the Hope of Glory! Titus 3:3-8.

IV. When I am “in Christ” He transforms me into His image. 2 Corinthians 3:18. What does He transform? It’s my mind. Romans 12:1-2. The study of the mind, especially the hierarchy of the mind, will be pursued in future studies. It is “life changing” when we understand how God will make us just like Jesus and ready for His soon appearing. 1 John 3:1-2.

V. The Great News of The Gospel is a truth that applies to all humanity, but ONLY those who believe will actually be saved. John 3:16-21, 34-36. Not a single person will be lost from Heaven because He or She is a sinner, but because of unbelief- willful, persistent, and ultimate rejection of the Truth as it is “in Christ Jesus” Ephesians 4:21, John 3:18, 36, John 16:8-9, Mark 16:15-16, Hebrews 2:3, Hebrews 3:19, 4:1-3.

VI. “In Christ,” Jesus wants us to sit down and enjoy what He has already done for us. We are not to try to work at attaining these blessings. Once we trust Jesus with our life, He freely gives us all things which are bestowed “through Christ” and His Cross. We are forgiven by Trusting Jesus. We are made righteous by Trusting Jesus, we have eternal life by Trusting Jesus, and we are victorious over temptation and sin by Trusting Jesus. We are fully dependent on Jesus and not on our own efforts to obtain Salvation. The victory is attributed to God alone; not attributed to anything we have done or ever will do!! We simply Trust Jesus with our life and that’s it!!! 1Corinthains 1:30-31, 2:2. 1Thessalonians 5:23-24.

VII. The conclusion is simple: Being “in Christ” is everything for the Christian. When we learn to simply Trust Jesus with our life, we will gladly choose to allow Jesus to have complete control, period. Through The Holy Spirit, He will then come and abide “inside us” giving us His complete victory. He alone will transform us into His image. He alone will make us just like Jesus. He alone will work out His victory inside us. Truly then, we are “in Jesus”. It is far more difficult to be lost than to be saved!! John 3: 16-17,2Corinthians 3:18, 1John 3:2, 1John 5:11-13. Praise God for His indescribable Gift for all who trust Jesus with their life. Our effort is to choose to abide “in Jesus” and know Him. John 15:4-7, 19-17. John 17:3.

The wonderful good news of The Gospel is that just as all are condemned to death by one man Adam, so God has redeemed all in one man Jesus Christ. In reality, Jesus became us, and we became one “in Him”. How awesome is that? John 17: 20-26.

So, by His perfect life, which met the positive demands of the law, and His sacrificial death, which met the justice of the law, Christ re-wrote our human history. And in His resurrection, He changed humanity’s status from one of “condemnation” to one of “peace with God”. This is what constitutes the extravagant Good News of The Gospel!! 1Corinthians 1:30-31, Ephesians 1:3-6; 2:5, 6.

Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift to every human being! 2 Corinthians 9:15. Praise God for the Never Failing Love of Jesus!!

The good news of The Gospel of Christ is a truth that applies to all humanity, but, only those who believe will actually be saved. The saved are those who trust Jesus with their lives!! The saved are those who know Jesus intimately. The saved know Jesus by experience. The saved love God with all their heart’s and loves others like themselves. Romans 3:26. This is the truth Jesus wants to live out in your life!

When we are “in Christ Jesus” He will manifest Himself in and through us. This is why there is no fear, anxiety, worry or burden abiding “in Christ Jesus”. It’s all about Jesus. We simply allow Him to do these things in and through us!

Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.Hebrews 2:17

“I am convinced that there is nothing more important in life than Jesus. Seeking and finding Him is the most important thing. He is indeed the pearl of great price”!
Lloyd Grolimund

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD Jeremiah 29:11-14

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

When Can I Be Assured of My Salvation?6-S

Posted on: No Comments

1. “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”. Luke 2:11. What is the central concept of this Scripture? I have no need to save myself.
2. I have assurance of Salvation when I trust Jesus with my life. That’s it!!
3. When I trust Jesus He will heal and restore me. My assurance is in Jesus and not myself.
4. It is in this trust relationship I find assurance of my salvation. John 17:3.
5. Abraham is a great example of trusting God. And he believed in the Lord and He accounted it to him for righteousness. Genesis 15:6. And being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. Romans 4:21.
6. Only those who experience the renewing, indwelling Spirit experience transformation of heart and mind. This is real healing, real Salvation. 2Corinthains 3:18.
7. In fact, some have misunderstood God and His use of law and created an entire legal framework for salvation. Galatians 5:4-6. Exodus 20:18-21. Hebrews 8.
8. What God wants is Love and Friendship not a legal relationship. He will write His law of Love on our hearts Hebrews 8:10.

9. Justification means being set right or put right. When God justifies us, He is rightifying us.
When we as individuals recognize all that Jesus revealed about the Father and are won to trust we open the heart and then we, as individuals, are “set right” or “justified” in our individual relationship with God. We then receive, via the work of the Holy Spirit, the transfusion of Christlikeness! The Holy Spirit takes what Christ achieved and reproduces it in us! His victory over evil, His perfect character of righteousness, His character of love, is downloaded into our hearts and we become like Him. Our thoughts are brought into harmony with His, our desires in union with His, our character renewed to be like His, our motives cleansed to be like His. We live a Christlike life, for it is no longer I, the sinful, selfish me living, but Christ, the lover of others who lives in me! Galatians 2:20. Only in Jesus is this possible. Only in a trust relationship with Him can we ever be justified or set right, because only in Jesus can we know the truth about God, which wins us to trust and then, in that trust relationship, experience the transfusion of His character of love which restores us to His original ideal! PRAISE GOD for what He has done in us!!!! Salvation is NOW!!! 1 John 5:11-13. Luke 13:10-17.
True Healing (Salvation) is Loving God, Loving each other and willingness to Forgive!!
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you… Matthew 5:43-48.
See 2Corinthians 5:9-21. What is the connection of these verses with Revelation 14:6-12?
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him”!!! 1John 4:16

My God is an awesome God of Love!!! And My God uses His Creative Power of Love to save me!!
How wonderful beyond words is His Love for you and me!!!

Let me share two powerful words from the Holy Scriptures. Please contemplate on these realities of encouragement!!

He is before all things and in Him all things Consist. Colossians 1:17
For the love of Christ Compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died 2Corinthians 5:14.

There are two related words in these verses that are powerful and have fascinating meanings.

In Colossians 1:17 the word is Consist. The Greek word is “sunistemi” which means to come to be in a condition of coherence, continue, endure, exist, and to hold together.

In 2Corinthians 5:14 the word is Compel or Constrains. The Greek word is “sunecho” which means hold together as a unit, hold together, sustain.

From: A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature, 3rd Edition by Walter Bauer and Frederick William Danker pp 970-971 and pp 972-973.

What is so amazing and powerful about these two words?

1. Both words have the meaning to hold together and to sustain.
This is what Jesus does for me!! He holds me together close to His heart ALWAYS!!! He does this on an ongoing basis.

2. Both words have the meaning to hold within bounds so as to manage or guide, direct and control. And this too is what Jesus does for me!!! “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”Deuteronomy 31:6

3. Both words have the meaning to provide the impulse for some activity, to hold fast, to urge on, and to impel. Again this is exactly what Jesus does for me!!! I am never ever separated from Jesus!!
35 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“ For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Romans 8:35-39

4. The words can mean to occupy someone’s attention intensely such as to say “I am occupied with or absorbed with you. Of course Jesus is completely absorbed with me. The fact is He has written my name on the palms of His hands!! Praise God!!!!

14 “But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me,
And my Lord has forgotten me.”
15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.
16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me”. Isaiah 49:14-16

My conclusion is simple: It is God’s faithful unfailing love that draws me and urges me to come to Jesus so He can reconcile me to Himself. Jesus alone will make me ready to be with Him forever!!! See Ezekiel 36:26-29. It is God’s awesome Love that will hold me together and make me like Him. If I will simply choose to follow Him, all the Creative Power of Jesus, which is His Love, is available to save me and save me completely!!! It is all about Jesus and His faithful Love to save me!! “God is Love”!! 1John 4:8.

19 Because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, Romans 1:19-20

This is great news: It’s God’s Creative Power of Love that reconciles me to Jesus and saves me!! As I truly understand the awesome Love of Jesus, I must conclude that it is very difficult to be lost and quite easy for me to be saved!!! Jesus longs to be with me forever and ever.

IT IS ALL ABOUT THE LOVE OF JESUS AND WHAT HE WILL DO INSIDE ME TO SAVE ME!!!! It’s God’s Creative Power of Love that makes me ready to live with Him forever!!!

Jesus wants to live out His life of Love inside me!!! Here is more really Great News:

3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:3-4

This is Real Love for Real People Just Like Me!!!!
Praise God for His Unfailing Love!!!!

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 1John 3:1-2

“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
John 12:32.

Try looking at God through the Lens of Love!! It will radically change your view of God!! It certainly has mine!!!
