A Spirit of Infirmity

10 Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. 12 But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” 13 And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath; and he said to the crowd, “There are six days on which men ought to work; therefore come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day.”
15 The Lord then answered him and said, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loose his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? 16 So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” 17 And when He said these things, all His adversaries were put to shame; and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him. Luke 13:10-17.

I hope through the following Bible Verses you will be encouraged, as I have, to love and serve Jesus with all your heart to the end of time!

Jesus Alone is My Rock of Salvation!

1 Truly my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be greatly moved.Psalm 62:1-2.

5 My soul, wait silently for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be moved.
7 In God is my salvation and my glory;
The rock of my strength,
And my refuge, is in God.

8 Trust in Him at all times, you people;
Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:5-8.

11 God has spoken once,
Twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God.
12 Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;
For You render to each one according to his work.Psalm 62:11-12.

Jesus Alone will get rid of my sins and make me ready to meet Him!

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.1John 1:9.

Jesus is my everything! He Alone will make me just like Him!

29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.1 Corinthians 1:29-31.

Salvation Is By Faith Alone In Christ Jesus!!!!! He Alone Will Make Us Ready!!!!!

And said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! Revelation 6:16

Salvation Is Only By Grace Through Faith In Christ Jesus!!

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:1-10

They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.Revelation 22:4.

They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:16-17.

All Things Made New

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:1-5

Jesus Himself Will Work Out Our Salvation Inside Us Through The Holy Spirit!!

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13

Christ Jesus Has Made Me Free

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.Romans 8:1-5.

Jesus Is Our Everything!!

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.1 Corinthians 1:30-31

Christ Crucified

For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:2.

Wonderful Things God has revealed To Us Through His Spirit!!

However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But as it is written:

“ Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:6-10.


Jesus wants Friendship with Us!!!

It Is The Work Of Jesus Alone To Transform Us and Make Us Like Him!!!

Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech— unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2Corinthians 3:12-18

The Importance of Watching

“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-36.

A Shaking of the Solar System!!

One day very soon, people will see the Son of Man Coming with “power and great glory”. Then there will be a huge cosmic explosion in the solar system like never before! With that cosmic shaking Jesus Will Appear!!

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end Matthew 24:29-31

Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come! Matthew 24:42.

The time of preparation for that awesome event is now, NOT when the cosmic signs are taking place!!!!

WHAT CAN I DO BE READY FOR THE COMING OF JESUS?

It is all about Jesus and a personal intimate relationship with Him!! He wants Friendship and Love. When you can trust Jesus with your entire life, then you are ready to be with Him forever and ever!! And That’s It!!

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3.

IT IS NOT OUR JOB TO FIGHT SIN!! WE ARE TO LOOK TO JESUS AND ONLY JESUS!!

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.12:2.

Jesus invites us all to come to Him!! Will you come now?

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 22:17.

We tend to make Salvation very complicated and unattainable with our own ideas and theories. The fact is it’s very simple to be Saved!!
When I can trust Jesus with my life, then I am saved. It’s that simple!!!

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. Romans 5:1-2,10-11.

The fact is Jesus wants to come inside you through the Holy Spirit and live out His victory in you!! Praise God!!

Contemplate these encouraging words:

The Christian life is a battle and a march. But the victory to be gained is not won by human power. The field of conflict is the domain of the heart. The battle which we have to fight–the greatest battle that was ever fought by man–is the surrender of self to the will of God, the yielding of the heart to the sovereignty of love.
We cannot, of ourselves, conquer the evil desires and habits that strive for the mastery. We cannot overcome the mighty foe who holds us in his thrall. God alone can give us the victory. He desires us to have the mastery over ourselves, our own will and ways. But He cannot work in us without our consent and co-operation. The divine Spirit works through the faculties and powers given to man. Our energies are required to co-operate with God. MB 141

You are not able, of yourself, to bring your purposes and desires and inclinations into submission to the will of God; but if you are “willing to be made willing,” God will accomplish the work for you, even “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5. Then you will “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12, 13 MB 142

HERE IS REALLY GREAT NEWS!!!

“He will swallow up death forever,
And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces;
The rebuke of His people
He will take away from all the earth;
For the LORD has spoken.

And it will be said in that day:

“ Behold, this is our God;
We have waited for Him, and He will save us.
This is the LORD;
We have waited for Him;
We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.” Isaiah 25:8-9


God’s Awesome Power of Love

One of the brightest galaxies in planet Earth’s sky and similar in size to the Milky Way, is the big, beautiful spiral M81 which lies JUST 11.8 million light-years away in the northern constellation Ursa Major.

“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him”!!! 1John 4:16

My God is an awesome God of Love!!! And My God uses His Creative Power of Love to save me!!
How wonderful beyond words is His Love for you and me!!!

Let me share two powerful words from the Holy Scriptures. Please contemplate on these realities of encouragement!!

He is before all things and in Him all things Consist. Colossians 1:17
For the love of Christ Compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died 2Corinthians 5:14.

There are two related words in these verses that are powerful and have fascinating meanings.

In Colossians 1:17 the word is Consist. The Greek word is “sunistemi” which means to come to be in a condition of coherence, continue, endure, exist, and to hold together.

In 2Corinthians 5:14 the word is Compel or Constrains. The Greek word is “sunecho” which means hold together as a unit, hold together, sustain.

What is so amazing and powerful about these two words?

1. Both words have the meaning to hold together and to sustain.
This is what Jesus does for me!! He holds me together close to His heart ALWAYS!!! He does this on an ongoing basis.

2. Both words have the meaning to hold within bounds so as to manage or guide, direct and control. And this too is what Jesus does for me!!! “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”Deuteronomy 31:6

3. Both words have the meaning to provide the impulse for some activity, to hold fast, to urge on, and to impel. Again this is exactly what Jesus does for me!!! I am never ever separated from Jesus!!
35 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“ For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”. Romans 8:35-39

4. The words can mean to occupy someone’s attention intensely such as to say “I am occupied with or absorbed with you. Of course Jesus is completely absorbed with me. The fact is He has written my name on the palms of His hands!! Praise God!!!!

14 “But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me,
And my Lord has forgotten me.”
15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.
16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me”. Isaiah 49:14-16

My conclusion is simple: It is God’s faithful unfailing love that draws me and urges me to come to Jesus so He can reconcile me to Himself. Jesus alone will make me ready to be with Him forever!!! See Ezekiel 36:26-29. It is God’s awesome Love that will hold me together and make me like Him. If I will simply choose to follow Him, all the Creative Power of Jesus, which is His Love, is available to save me and save me completely!!! It is all about Jesus and His faithful Love to save me!! “God is Love”!! 1John 4:8.

19 Because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, Romans 1:19-20

This is great news: It’s God’s Creative Power of Love that reconciles me to Jesus and saves me!! As I truly understand the awesome Love of Jesus, I must conclude that it is very difficult to be lost and quite easy for me to be saved!!! Jesus longs to be with me forever and ever.

IT IS ALL ABOUT THE LOVE OF JESUS AND WHAT HE WILL DO INSIDE ME TO SAVE ME!!!! It’s God’s Creative Power of Love that makes me ready to live with Him forever!!!

Jesus wants to live out His life of Love inside me!!! Here is more really Great News:

This is Real Love for Real People Just Like Me!!!!
Praise God for His Unfailing Love!!!!

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 1John 3:1-2


“And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
John 12:32.

Try looking at God through the Lens of Love!! It will radically change your view of God!! It certainly has mine!!!

And What is Jesus Like?

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:12-16

AN APPEAL TO YOUR HEART!!
The way we are to love is simple and profound all at the same time!!!
Here is exactly the way we are to love!! Let these verses of Scripture speak to your Heart as they have to mine!!! This is True Worship and the very Heart and Soul of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!!!!

“Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that”. Ephesians 5:1-2 (The Message)

“Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you”. Revelation 3:20 (The Message)
