Shabbat Shalom! I Will Give You Rest! – A Brief Bible Study

HAPPY SABBATH!! JESUS WILL GIVE YOU HIS REST!!

There is a great Music Video at the end of this post. Pillars Music: “I Will Give You Rest”! Be sure and listen.
THE SABBATH IS A REMINDER THAT JESUS GIVES THE ONLY TRUE REST!

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

God wants us to sit down and enjoy all the blessings we have “in Christ Jesus”.

30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— 31 that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.” 1 Corinthians 1:30-31.

In other words Jesus wants us to stop all the striving and the anxiety that comes as a result of us putting forth our own effort trying to save our-selves!!

THE SABBATH IS A REMINDER THAT IT’S GOD WHO SAVES US AND MAKES US HOLY.

12 Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them.

20 hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.’ Ezekiel 20:12,20.

I repeat; It’s Jesus alone  who can make us Holy and not we ourselves!!

“Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots?
Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil”. Jeremiah 13:23.

THE SABBATH IS A REMINDER THAT I HAVE SALVATION ONLY BY FAITH IN JESUS! PERIOD!

There is nothing that I can do in terms of my own efforts that will save me! Absolutely Nothing!  See Hebrews 3:19, 4:1-4,10.

It’s all about Jesus! And Jesus will save me completely!

23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. 1Thessalonians 5:23-24.

So what is it that I can do to be saved and have eternal life?

My part is to simply Trust Jesus With My Life!! Period!!

Dr Tim Jennings puts it this way:

If we trust Jesus, then He will perfectly heal us. It is in this trust relationship with Christ that we find our assurance of salvation. At the moment we trust Him and turn our lives over to Him we have His assurance that He will save us . Once we trust Jesus, He, our great Heavenly Physician, will perfectly heal and restore us, thus our assurance is in Jesus, not in ourselves or our future”. John 17:3

I am so thankful that the Sabbath is a wonderful reminder that I have true rest from all my efforts to save my self!! The Sabbath simply points me to Jesus who alone has the power to save me and give me life eternal! Praise God!!  Ephesians 2:4-10.

And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath. Mark 2:27-28.

4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; 5 and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.” There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. Hebrews 4:4-5,9.

Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them.
hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.’ Ezekiel 20:12,20.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

How Do I Know I Have Eternal life? Is It Really This Simple?

Posted on: 6 Comments

Here is the way I see it!! Is It Really This Simple?

68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.1John 5:11-13.

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,[a] for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17.

4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5.

Yes indeed, the conclusion is very simple!! It’s much easier to be saved than to be lost!! When I come to trust Jesus with my entire life, I have salvation right then and there, Present Tense!! And That’s It!!!

Now, To believe in Jesus, is also to simply trust Him completely with my life!! Period!!

Now how difficult is that? It is that simple!! We are the ones,with our own ideas, our own opinions that complicate Salvation. It is up to us to choose Jesus!! Period!! This is plainly what the Bible Teaches!!

Getting with Jesus and staying with Him is everything for the Christian. When I get to the point of simply choosing To Trust Jesus With My Life, then we will gladly choose to allow Jesus to have complete control, period.

Through The Holy Spirit, He will then come and abide “inside us” giving us His complete victory. He alone will transform us into His image(2Corinthians 3:18). He alone will make us just like Jesus. He alone will work out His victory inside us–Saving us!! We do not have to become anxious trying to save ourselves. Jesus will do that!!

Well that’s the way I see it!!

Now, How do you see it? Is there anything else we should be doing to make sure we have Salvation? How do the 10 commandments fit in? What part do the 10 commandments have in our Salvation if any? Please leave a post stating your understanding!! Your post will be very helpful to others!! Thank you very much!!

God Bless You As You Seek Jesus, Trusting Him Completely With Your Life!!!

Please listen to The Voice of Jesus speaking to you, through Scripture, Thought and Pictures!! May you be blessed with God’s Everlasting Love as you contemplate His compassion toward all of us!!

WELL WORTH THE READ!!

28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the LORD,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31

3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
4 Trust in the LORD forever,
For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.Isaiah 26:3-4.

But Israel shall be saved by the LORD
With an everlasting salvation;
You shall not be ashamed or disgraced
Forever and ever. Isaiah 45:17.

1 “Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness,
You who seek the LORD:
Look to the rock from which you were hewn,
And to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.
2 Look to Abraham your father,
And to Sarah who bore you;
For I called him alone,
And blessed him and increased him.”
3 For the LORD will comfort Zion,
He will comfort all her waste places;
He will make her wilderness like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of the LORD;
Joy and gladness will be found in it,
Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.
4 “ Listen to Me, My people;
And give ear to Me, O My nation:
For law will proceed from Me,
And I will make My justice rest
As a light of the peoples.
11 So the ransomed of the LORD shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness;
Sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 51:1-4,11.

With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment;
But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,”
Says the LORD, your Redeemer. Isaiah 54:8.

Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
The sure mercies of David. Isaiah 55:3.

From the sole of the foot even to the head,
There is no soundness in it,
But wounds and bruises and putrefying sores;
They have not been closed or bound up,
Or soothed with ointment. Isaiah 1:6.

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying:

“ Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Jeremiah 31:3.

For I will restore health to you
And heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD. Jeremiah 30:17

I will heal their backsliding,
I will love them freely,
For My anger has turned away from him. Hosea 14:4.

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed;
Save me, and I shall be saved,
For You are my praise. Jeremiah 17:14.

Is there no balm in Gilead,
Is there no physician there?
Why then is there no recovery
For the health of the daughter of my people? Jeremiah 8:22.

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed;
Save me, and I shall be saved,
For You are my praise. Jeremiah 17:14.

18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him;
I will also lead him,
And restore comforts to him
And to his mourners.
19 “ I create the fruit of the lips:
Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near,”
Says the LORD,

“ And I will heal him.” Isaiah 57:18-19.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. Jeremiah 29:11-14.

For I will restore health to you
And heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD Jeremiah 30:17

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying:

“ Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Jeremiah 31:3.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.. Ephesians 2:4-8.

Great News About The Judgment! 9-S

Posted on: No Comments

1. Jesus is my Lawyer. My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate (Lawyer) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.1John 2:1.
2. Jesus is my Judge. For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to The Son John 5:22.
3. Jesus is my assurance of Salvation. 1John 5:11-13 He who has the Son has life. I have “assurance” of salvation when I “trust” Jesus with my life, that’s it. John 3:16. Why not discover how God’s awesome love makes a real difference in your life.
4. How do I learn to trust Jesus? And this is eternal life, that they may know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3. I don’t have to worry about saving myself!
5. How do I get to know Jesus? Spend time with Jesus! Read God’s Word and pray. As I love I will know God. 1John 4:7-11, 20-21.
6. Great News:Jesus will save me! I don’t have to save myself!
7. Yes, I want to take more time , to really know & love Jesus

The last great work of the church before the end of time is to show a dying brutal world that God truly is love. My words could not adequately tell you about the difference God’s gentle awesome love will make in your life. The love of Jesus changes you. My heart is full of joy because of it! This is truly The Gospel proclaimed in Revelation 14!!

That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God… for God is love. 1John 4:7-8.

PASS THE BISCUITS

Posted on: 6 Comments

When I was a kid, my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every
now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made
breakfast after a long, hard day at work. On that evening so long ago,
my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage, and extremely burned biscuits in
front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all
my dad did was reach for his Biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my
day was at school.

I don’t remember what I told him that night, but I do remember hearing my
mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I’ll never forget
what he said: “Honey, I love burned biscuits.”
Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he
really liked his biscuits burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said,
“Your momma put in a long hard day at work today and she’s real tired.
And besides… a burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!”

You know, life is full of imperfect things… and imperfect people. I’m
not the best at hardly anything, and I forget birthdays and anniversaries
just like everyone else.

What I’ve learned over the years is that
learning to accept each others faults and choosing to celebrate each
others differences, is one of the most important keys to creating a
healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

So…please pass me a biscuit. And yes, the burned one will do just fine!

4.But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,…7.that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8.For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that

7. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9.In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 1John 4:7-9.

WOW!! 1John 4:8 plainly states that we know God by loving, for God in fact is love!!!
I truly want to fall deeply in love with Jesus so I can be kind and more loving to others! This is The Gospel of Jesus in action!!

How about you?

Godly Goals Motivated by Love

Several of you were at a meeting Sabbath 1/22/2011 in which the subject of this blog post was discussed. I want to encourage you to leave a post! It is very simple: Just scroll down to the bottom of this text and enter your response where it says: Leave a comment. A box then opens and you simply enter your response:
Do you agree with what is stated? If so please say why you agree. Do you disagree with the statements? If so please state your disagreements. Also please leave any questions you have concerning the content of this blog post. All questions will be answered. Your posting will be very helpful!! Thanks!!!
This blog post is about our very precious gift from Jesus!! Unfortunately in dealing with children and adults, there is the belief by some that confuses love and discipline. There seems to a lack of balance between the concept of love and the administration of discipline. To feel secure and loved, children need to know where their limits are located. Adults are not much different. For example, when parents don’t have clear boundaries children tend to push until the boundaries are found. Without those clear and unmistakable boundaries, insecurity develops which often leads to feelings of being unloved. QUESTIONS: IS LOVE AND DISCLIPINE ONE AND THE SAME? AND DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE WITH THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS:” Jesus Himself says When you love me you will keep my commandments. When I fall in love with Jesus I then will want to please Him with all of my heart—- no questions asked!!! It seems to me that The Law of Love is simply the natural order of things emanating from The God of Love! I then want to please Jesus above all else and never displease Him!!! It’s just what happens when I fall in Love with Jesus”. This is not legalism but a demonstration of my love to Jesus!! This includes every facet of my life. Please review the Scriptures and quotes from Ellen White that follow. These quotes focus on Church Reverence. AGAIN AS ALREADY STATED, PLEASE POST YOUR COMMENTS!! YOUR POST WILL BE VERY HELPFUL TO MANY INDIVIDUALS. GOD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY!!

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.1John 4:7-8

10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:10
2 “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.30 ‘You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:2, 30.

1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, 3 and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me. Matthew 18:1-5.

God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints,
And to be held in reverence by all those around Him. Psalm 89:7

3 Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.”
4 So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!”
And he said, “Here I am.”
5 Then He said, “Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.” 6 Moreover He said, “I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. Exodus 3:3-6

8 Let all the earth fear the LORD;
Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. Psalm 33:8

Deportment
Real refinement of thought and manner is better learned in the school of the divine Teacher than by any observance of set rules. His love pervading the heart gives to the character those refining touches that fashion it in the semblance of His own. This education imparts a heaven-born dignity and sense of propriety. It gives a sweetness of disposition and a gentleness of manner that can never be equaled by the superficial polish of fashionable society. Ed 241.4
The Bible enjoins courtesy, and it presents many illustrations of the unselfish spirit, the gentle grace, the

winsome temper, that characterize true politeness. These are but reflections of the character of Christ. All the real tenderness and courtesy in the world, even among those who do not acknowledge His name, is from Him. And He desires these characteristics to be perfectly reflected in His children. It is His purpose that in us men shall behold His beauty. Ed 241.5
The most valuable treatise on etiquette ever penned is the precious instruction given by the Saviour, with the utterance of the Holy Spirit through the apostle Paul– words that should be ineffaceably written in the memory of every human being, young or old: Ed 242.1
“As I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” John 13:34.
“Love suffereth long, and is kind;
Love envieth not;
Love vaunteth not itself,
Is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly,
Seeketh not its own,
Is not provoked,
Taketh not account of evil;
Rejoiceth not in unrighteousness,
But rejoiceth with the truth;
Beareth all things,
Believeth all things,
Hopeth all things,
Endureth all things.
Love never faileth.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, R.V. Ed 242.2
Another precious grace that should be carefully cherished is reverence. True reverence for God is inspired by a sense of His infinite greatness and a realization of His presence. With this sense of the Unseen the heart of every child should be deeply impressed. The hour and place of

prayer and the services of public worship the child should be taught to regard as sacred because God is there. And as reverence is manifested in attitude and demeanor, the feeling that inspires it will be deepened. Ed 242.3
Well would it be for young and old to study and ponder and often repeat those words of Holy Writ that show how the place marked by God’s special presence should be regarded. Ed 243.1
“Put off thy shoes from off thy feet,” He commanded Moses at the burning bush; “for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.” Exodus 3:5. Ed 243.2
Jacob, after beholding the vision of the angels, exclaimed, “The Lord is in this place; and I knew it not. . . . This is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.” Genesis 28:16, 17. Ed 243.3
“The Lord is in His holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before Him.” Habakkuk 2:20.
“The Lord is a great God,
And a great King above all gods. . . .
O come, let us worship and bow down:
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”
“It is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise:
Be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.”
Psalms 95:3-6; 100:3, 4. Ed 243.4
Reverence should be shown also for the name of God. Never should that name be spoken lightly or thoughtlessly. Even in prayer its frequent or needless repetition should be avoided. “Holy and reverend is His name.” Psalm 111:9. Angels, as they speak it, veil their faces. With what reverence should we, who are fallen and sinful, take it upon your lips!
244
Ed 243.5
We should reverence God’s word. For the printed volume we should show respect, never putting it to common uses, or handling it carelessly. And never should Scripture be quoted in a jest, or paraphrased to point a witty saying. “Every word of God is pure;” “as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” Proverbs 30:5; Psalm 12:6. Ed 244.1
Above all, let children be taught that true reverence is shown by obedience. God has commanded nothing that is unessential, and there is no other way of manifesting reverence so pleasing to Him as obedience to that which He has spoken. Ed 244.2
Reverence should be shown for God’s representatives –for ministers, teachers, and parents who are called to speak and act in His stead. In the respect shown to them He is honored. Ed 244.3

Humility and reverence should characterize the deportment of all who come into the presence of God. In the name of Jesus we may come before Him with confidence, but we must not approach Him with the boldness of presumption, as though He were on a level with ourselves. There are those who address the great and all-powerful and holy God, who dwelleth in light unapproachable, as they would address an equal, or even an inferior. There are those who conduct themselves in His house as they would not presume to do in the audience chamber of an earthly ruler. These should remember that they are in His sight whom seraphim adore, before whom angels veil their faces. God is greatly to be reverenced; all who truly realize His presence will bow in humility before Him, and, like Jacob beholding the vision of God, they will cry out, “How dreadful is this place! This is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.” PP 252.1

Take the Disturbing Child Out.–Your child should be taught to obey as the children of God obey Him. If this standard is maintained, a word from you will have some weight when your child is restless in the house of God. But if the children cannot be restrained, if the parents feel that the restraint is too much of an exaction, the child should be removed from the church at once; it should not be left to divert the minds of the hearers by talking or running about. God is dishonored by the loose way in which parents manage their children while at church. CG 544.1
To Manifest No Spirit of Levity.–Parents, it is your duty to have your children in perfect subjection, having all their passions and evil tempers subdued. And if children are taken to meeting, they should be made to know and understand where they are–that they are not at home, but where God meets with His people. And they should be kept quiet and free from all play, and God will turn His face toward you, to meet with you and bless you. CG 543.2
If order is observed in the assemblies of the saints, the truth will have better effect upon all that hear it. A solemnity which is so much needed will be encouraged, and there will be power in the truth to stir up the depths of the soul, and a deathlike stupor will not hang upon
544
those who hear. Believers and unbelievers will be affected. It has seemed evident that in some places the ark of God was removed from the church, for the holy commandments have been violated and the strength of Israel has been weakened. CG 543.3
Accountability of Critical Parents.–Parents, be careful what example and what ideas you give your children. Their minds are plastic, and impressions are easily made. In regard to the service of the sanctuary, if the speaker has a blemish, be afraid to mention it. Talk only of the good work he is doing, of the good ideas he presented, which you should heed as coming through God’s agent. It may be readily seen why children are so little impressed with the ministry of the Word, and why they have so little reverence for the house of God. Their education has been defective in this respect. CG 545.3
The delicate and susceptible minds of the youth obtain their estimate of the labors of God’s servants by the way their parents treat the matter. Many heads of families make the service a subject of criticism at home, approving a few things and condemning others. Thus the message of God to men is criticized and questioned and made a subject of levity. What impressions are thus made upon the young by these careless, irreverent remarks, the

books of heaven alone will reveal. The children see and understand these things very much quicker than parents are apt to think. Their moral senses receive a wrong bias that time will never fully change. The parents mourn over the hardness of heart in their children and the difficulty in arousing their moral sensibility to answer to the claims of God. But the books of heavenly record trace with unerring pen the true cause. The parents were unconverted. They were not in harmony with Heaven or with Heaven’s work. Their low, common ideas of the sacredness of the ministry and of the sanctuary of God were woven into the education of their children. CG 545.4
It is a question whether anyone who has for years been under this blighting influence of home instruction will ever have a sensitive reverence and high regard for God’s ministry and the agencies He has appointed for the salvation of souls. These things should be spoken of with reverence, with propriety of language, and with fine susceptibility, that you may reveal to all you associate with that you regard the message from God’s servants as a message to you from God Himself. CG 546.1
Practice Reverence Till It Becomes Habitual.– Reverence is greatly needed in the youth of this age. I am alarmed as I see children and youth of religious parents so heedless of the order and propriety that should be observed in the house of God. While God’s servants are presenting the words of life to the people, some will be reading, others whispering and laughing. Their eyes are sinning by diverting the attention of those around them. This habit, if allowed to remain unchecked, will grow and influence others. CG 546.2

Children and youth should never feel that it is

something to be proud of to be indifferent and careless in meetings where God is worshiped. God sees every irreverent thought or action, and it is registered in the books of heaven. He says, “I know thy works.” Nothing is hid from His all-searching eye. If you have formed in any degree the habit of inattention and indifference in the house of God, exercise the powers you have to correct it, and show that you have self-respect. Practice reverence until it becomes a part of yourself. CG 546.3
Do not have so little reverence for the house and worship of God as to communicate with one another during the sermon. If those who commit this fault could see the angels of God looking upon them and marking their doings, they would be filled with shame and abhorrence of themselves. God wants attentive hearers. It was while men slept, that the enemy sowed tares. MYP 266.2
Nothing that is sacred, nothing that pertains to the worship of God, should be treated with carelessness and indifference. When the word of life is spoken, you should remember that you are listening to the voice of God through His delegated servant. Do not lose these words through inattention; if heeded, they may keep your feet from straying into wrong paths. MYP 266.3

In ordinary life the family was both a school and a church, the parents being the instructors in secular and in religious lines. AH 182.1
The Family Circle a School.–In His wisdom the Lord has decreed that the family shall be the greatest of all educational agencies. It is in the home that the education of the child is to begin. Here is his first school. Here, with his parents as instructors, he is to learn the lessons that are to guide him throughout life–lessons of respect, obedience, reverence, self-control. The educational influences of the home are a decided power for good or for evil. They are in many respects silent and gradual, but if exerted on the right side, they become a far-reaching power for truth and righteousness. If the child is not instructed aright here, Satan will educate him through agencies of his choosing. How important, then, is the school in the home! AH 182.2
Not a Secondary Matter.–Let not home education be regarded as a secondary matter. It occupies the first place in all true education. Fathers and mothers have entrusted to them the molding of their children’s minds. CG 18.2

9 Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren, 10 especially concerning the day you stood before the LORD your God in Horeb, when the LORD said to me, ‘Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’ Deuteronomy 4:9-10

On Bended Knee There should be an intelligent knowledge of how to come to God in reverence and Godly fear with devotional love. There is a growing lack of reverence for our Maker, a growing disregard of His greatness and His majesty. But God is speaking to us in these last days. We hear His voice in the storm, in the rolling thunder. We hear of the calamities He permits in the earthquakes, the breaking forth of waters, and the destructive elements sweeping all before them. We hear of ships going down in the tempestuous

ocean. God speaks to families who have refused to recognize Him, sometimes in the whirlwind and storm, sometimes face to face as He talked with Moses. Again He whispers His love to the little trusting child and to the gray-haired sire in his dotage. And earthly wisdom has a wisdom as it beholds the unseen. 2SM 315.3
When the still small voice which succeeds the whirlwind and the tempest that moves the rocks out of position, is heard, let all cover their face, for God is very near. Let them hide themselves in Jesus Christ; for He is their hiding place. The cleft in the rock is hidden with His own pierced hand while the humble seeker waits in bowed attitude to hear what saith the Lord unto His servant.–Manuscript 84b, 1897. 2SM 316.
Behavior in the House of God. If some have to wait a few minutes before the meeting begins, let them maintain a true spirit of devotion by silent meditation, keeping the heart uplifted to God in prayer that the service may be of special benefit to their own hearts and lead to the conviction and conversion of other souls. They should remember that heavenly messengers are in the house. We all lose much sweet communion with God by our restlessness, by not encouraging moments of reflection and prayer. The spiritual condition needs to be often reviewed and the mind and heart drawn toward the Sun of Righteousness. If when the people come into the house of worship, they have genuine reverence for the Lord and bear in mind that they are in His presence, there will be a sweet eloquence in silence. The whispering and laughing and talking which might be without sin in a common business place should find no sanction in the house where God is worshiped. The mind should be prepared to hear the word of God, that it may have due weight and suitably impress the heart. 5T 492.2
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12:28-29.
1 But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel:

“ Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
4 Since you were precious in My sight,
You have been honored,
And I have loved you;
Therefore I will give men for you,
And people for your life. Isaiah 43:1,4
God Will Remember Zion
14 But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me,
And my Lord has forgotten me.”
15 “ Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you.
16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me. Isaiah 49:14-16
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship”. Romans 12:1(NIV) “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you”. Ephesians 4:32. See also: Titus 3:3-8, Zephaniah 3:14-20, Revelation 14:7.

Two Covenants-Explaining Law and Grace

Posted on: No Comments

One of the greatest deceptions to enter Christianity is the concept that we don’t have to follow the law anymore. Often marshaled as proof for this is Romans 7. This video shows the vital connection between Romans 7 and 8.

An Affirmation of Creation

The Black Hole

Preaching the Gospel is proclaiming God as Creator of all things!!!

The Proclamations of Three Angels

Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” Revelation 14:6-7

Creation shows the Power of God!!!

The Power of God is creative Power!! And the Gospel is the Power of God unto Salvation!! So it follows then that the Gospel is the manifestation of Creative Power to save us from sin!!!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

God’s Awesome Creative Power to Save Us!!! Praise God!!!!!

Because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse… Romans 1:16-17,19-20

THE GOSPEL IS JESUS

1. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Salvation is only by the
Power of God, and wherever the Power of God is, There is salvation.
2. Christ is the Power of God.
3. But Christ’s salvation comes through the Cross; therefore the Cross of Christ is the Power of God.

4. So the preaching of Christ and Him crucified is the preaching of the Gospel.
5. The Power of God is the Power that creates all things. Therefore the preaching of Christ and Him crucified, as the power of God, is the preaching of the Creative Power of God put forth for the Salvation of men.
6. This is so, because Christ is the Creator of all things.

7. Not only so, but in Him all things were created. He is the first-born of all
Creation; when He was begotten, “in the days of eternity.” All things were
virtually Created, because all Creation is in Him. The substance of all
Creation, and the Power by which all things should be made to appear, were in Christ. This is simply a statement of the mystery that only the mind of God can comprehend.
8. The mystery of the Gospel is God manifest in human flesh. Christ on earth is “God with us.” So Christ dwelling in the hearts of men by faith is all the fullness of God in them.
9. And this means nothing less than the creative energy in God working in men through Jesus Christ, for their salvation. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.” “We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works.”

10. Therefore the Gospel is Christ in others, and the preaching of it is making known to men of the possibility of Christ’s dwelling in them.
