Here is the way I see it!! Is It Really This Simple?

68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.1John 5:11-13.

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,[a] for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17.

4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5.

Yes indeed, the conclusion is very simple!! It’s much easier to be saved than to be lost!! When I come to trust Jesus with my entire life, I have salvation right then and there, Present Tense!! And That’s It!!!

Now, To believe in Jesus, is also to simply trust Him completely with my life!! Period!!

Now how difficult is that? It is that simple!! We are the ones, with our own ideas, our own opinions that complicate Salvation. It is up to us to choose Jesus!! Period!! This is plainly what the Bible Teaches!!

Getting with Jesus and staying with Him is everything for the Christian. When I get to the point of simply choosing To Trust Jesus With My Life, then we will gladly choose to allow Jesus to have complete control, period.

Through The Holy Spirit, He will then come and abide “inside us” giving us His complete victory. He alone will transform us into His image(2Corinthians 3:18). He alone will make us just like Jesus. He alone will work out His victory inside us–Saving us!! We do not have to become anxious trying to save ourselves. Jesus will do that!!

Well that’s the way I see it!!

Now, How do you see it? Is there anything else we should be doing to make sure we have Salvation? How do the 10 commandments fit in? What part do the 10 commandments have in our Salvation if any? Please leave a post stating your understanding!! Your post will be very helpful to others!! Thank you very much!!

God Bless You As You Seek Jesus, Trusting Him Completely With Your Life!!!

  1. Yes, it really is this simple. Jesus Himself said in His prayer of John 17 ‘And this is life eternal, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.’.. John 17:3 To know God and Jesus is to truly believe and trust Him with every aspect of our lives.

    • Thanks Cathy, You are right on and of course you agree with Jesus!! And by the way there is not a better source anywhere!!
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3.

  2. Ten commandments are heavenly constitution ,and for one to be a member of a particular organization must abide with all articles of the constitution. So abiding with ten commandments is all we need for our salvation.GOD’S ten commandments is the constitution given to us as a guidelines.

    • Thanks very much Florence. Jesus said Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:3-4.
When we abide in Jesus, through the Holy Spirit He lives out His life of victory in us!!
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.Colossians 1:27. Through Jesus living inside us, the 10 commandments will be kept. Thus through Jesus we experience His victory!! God bless you Florence.

  3. Salvation is a free gift. All we have to do is accept it by faith and trust Jesus completely. When we do this we will surrender everything to Him and allow the Holy Spirit to come inside us and live out His life in and through us. We must give up our will and our selfishness and have a close intimate relationship with Jesus. As we get to know and love Him more and more we will not want to do anything that will hurt Him and thus we will be keeping the Ten Commandments. When our relationship with Christ is broken then we commit all manner of sins. Jesus came as our example to show us how to live our lives. He wants us to become just like Him, but we have to let Him do it. We can do nothing good of ourselves.

    • Amen Vicki!! You are absolutely correct!!Thanks so much for your great post!!!
“But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD”. 1 Corinthians 1:30-31
It is all Jesus and nothing that we can do by our own effort to obtain Salvation!!
      God Bless you!!!
